2026 TSACS D+CM EXPO

The D+CM Expo is hosted by the Robert R. Taylor School of Architecture and Construction Science on the historic campus of Tuskegee University. Our mission is to connect our students with the newest developments in the architecture, construction, and design industries. This is accomplished through a week-long event featuring career fairs, seminars, and workshops. This year, companies are invited to attend the in-person event February 9th-11th, 2026!

Irish Horsey, PhD | Director of Industry Advancement

Procore Technologies, Inc.

Dr. Irish Horsey is an award-winning construction professional, a leading voice in AEC industry advancement, and author, with over 25 years of experience spanning both industry and academia. As the Director of Industry Advancement for Procore, she is a highly effective senior leader and thought leader, instrumental in scaling business operations and driving industry transformation. Dr. Horsey and her team are dedicated to expanding Procore's reach by advancing the construction industry through education and technology. Her commitment to workforce development is evident in her extensive board service with numerous construction professional and academic organizations, where she champions education, research, and industry transformation. Before joining Procore, Dr. Horsey distinguished herself as an accomplished construction manager, delivering successful projects and programs for leading AEC organizations in both the public and private sectors.

Beyond her industry leadership, Dr. Horsey is a dedicated educator in construction management. Her impactful academic career includes roles as a professor and Interim Department Chair at Kennesaw State University's Department of Construction Management, where she founded and advised the Kennesaw Women in Construction organization. She also served as Program Director of Construction Management at Gwinnett Technical College. Dr. Horsey credits her industry success with enriching her teaching and advising, allowing her to provide invaluable insights to her students.

Dr. Horsey has received numerous awards and recognitions, reflecting her deep passion for industry advancement. She holds the distinction of being the first African American woman to earn a Ph.D. in Building Construction from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she continues to contribute as a part-time professor and serves on the industry advisory board in the School of Building Construction. Engineering Georgia has recognized her as one of the 50 Most Notable Women in Engineering. She is also the author of the forthcoming book, You Can Be Here: A Woman’s Guide to Construction Careers. Dr. Horsey firmly believes that her most significant contributions to the built environment lie in recruiting and educating its future leaders, and in advancing the industry by fostering a more sustainable construction workforce.

2:45 PM - 4:00 PM CT | 2025 TSACS Alumni Panel Discussion

Travis Armbrister, NCARB, LEED BD+C is a Project Architect at Perkins+Will, where he practices architecture in Atlanta, GA, contributing to thoughtful and innovative design solutions. Originally from Nassau, Bahamas, he was inspired to become an architect by his grandfather, a carpenter, whose craft sparked his early passion for the built environment. A 2016 graduate of Tuskegee University, Travis blends technical expertise with creative vision in his professional work. Outside of the office, he enjoys taking zouk dance lessons every Wednesday.


Jennifer Matthews, Assoc. AIA, NOMA, Lean Practitioner is a medical planner, project manager, and architectural designer with over a decade of experience shaping healthcare environments across the U.S. and internationally. An Associate at SS&A Design Collective, she has led and supported complex healthcare projects for major institutions across both the public and private sectors. Jennifer is known for combining design precision with strategic planning, leveraging her multifaceted expertise in architecture, medical planning, and business leadership. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Tuskegee University (2013) and a Master of Arts in Business Design and Arts Leadership from SCAD (2020).


Allison Scott is a Senior Project Engineer at DPR Construction in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her experience includes field, quality, estimating, and preconstruction roles, which strengthened her comprehensive understanding of the construction lifecycle. Allison earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science and Management from Tuskegee University. Her background reflects a strong commitment to technical excellence, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous professional growth within the construction industry.


Aleeyah Sanders is a licensed Commercial General Contractor in Georgia and soon to be in Alabama, real estate developer, and Founder & CEO of Dream Build Development. She is also the Chairperson and Executive Director of Let’s Rebuild Tuskegee, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on housing development, land revitalization, and workforce pathways in Tuskegee.

She brings experience from major commercial and infrastructure projects, including the Atlanta Airport Concourse D Widening Project and commercial buildouts with DPR Construction. Aleeyah is currently leading upcoming new construction townhouse developments in Tuskegee.

Daniel Whitt serves as the Head of Learning Spaces at Ed Farm, an Alabama-based nonprofit shaping the future of education. Daniel oversees all aspects of the Ed Farm Spaces initiative, an effort that has gained traction and attention across the US while building 18 learning spaces in the first 5 years of the edtech startup. Known for his expertise in creating immersive learning spaces, dynamic learning experiences, and top-tier video and audio content, Daniel brings a unique blend of creativity and futurism to the world of education. Previously, he led instructional tech for Madison City Schools, where his vision began transforming the way students engage with technology and the world. Before diving into education, Daniel spent his early adult years in NYC, pursuing music production and filmmaking. Now a resident of Huntsville, he combines this creative drive with his commitment to youth, tackling some of education’s most complex challenges. As an Apple Distinguished Educator and TEDx speaker, Daniel is a passionate advocate for student voice, equitable access, and positive change—championing the future of learning, one innovation at a time.

Career Fair Tables

Expect a 6-foot table, a black tablecloth, and three task chairs (two for reps and one for student). Free-standing banners are welcome; however, please tuck them behind your table or directly to the side to clear the walkway. Company-branded tablecloths and handouts are welcome. If you would like to showcase projects, we suggest the use of an IPAD or laptop that can hold charge or be recharged during the lunch hour. This suggestion is due to limited outlet availability, possible trip hazards, and unforeseen Wi-Fi/electrical issues.

Note: If your company needs to mail items prior to the career fair, please make sure your items are delivered by Wednesday, February 4th, 2026. The mailing address is provided below. Please also note, TSACS is unable to ship your items back. Arrangements should be made to drop off at an Auburn or Montgomery shipping location following departure from the Expo.

To access campus, all company reps must visit the security office across from the main campus gates. In preparation of this security checkpoint, please complete the form on the following page - Link. Under “how long is your visit,” please note “TSACS D+CM Expo - Tuesday, 2/10/2026 and Wednesday, 2/11/2026.”

Flight and Hotel Accommodations:

If you are flying into Atlanta, GA, please consider hotel arrangements in Auburn, AL. If you are flying into Montgomery, AL, please consider arrangements in Eastchase. Hotel accommodations are not available on Tuskegee University’s campus.

Directions:

If you are coming from Montgomery, Birmingham or Mobile, AL, take Interstate 65 to Montgomery, then take Interstate 85 North to the Tuskegee/Franklin exit (Exit #32).  Turn RIGHT off the exit onto Pleasant Springs Drive (Co. Rd. 50/30).  Go approximately 2 miles, then turn left onto Franklin Road (Co. Rd. 30).  Go approximately 3 miles to the end of Franklin Rd.  Take a left at the traffic light onto "Old" Montgomery Rd.   Go through the next traffic light and take a right onto Morteza Sprague Street (second street on the right), which will lead you to Logan Hall and the stadium.

If you are coming from Atlanta or Columbus, GA. or Auburn, take Interstate 85 South to the Tuskegee/Notasulga exit (Exit #38).  Turn LEFT off the exit onto Tuskegee Airmen Blvd. (Hwy. 81). Stay on this highway (approximately 2 miles) through several 90-degree turns and you will end up on North Main Street.  You will see Burger King on your left.  Turn right at the first traffic light onto "Old" Montgomery Rd.  Go through the next traffic light on Montgomery Road until you see the campus.  Take a left onto the second street on the left (Morteza Sprague Street), which will lead you to Logan Hall and the stadium.
